Yum Brands Subsidiary Pizza Hut Adds Beyond Meat Sausage to the Menu

Yum Brands Inc. (NYSE:YUM) subsidiary, Pizza Hut is set to permanently add Beyond Meat’s plant-based sausage to their menus within all of their Canadian restaurants, starting Monday. Available on three Beyond meat dishes, the plant-based Italian Sausage crumbles were created to have the same meaty texture and taste that customers are used to in the restaurant’s traditional Italian pork sausage.

Yum Brands announced an official partnership with Beyond Meat, approximately a year ago in order to provide exclusive plant-based meat to Taco Bell, KFC as well as Pizza Hut. Furthermore, KFC is also launching its Beyond Fried Chicken throughout the U.S. on Monday, as a means of attracting more customers.

Three Options Available

The three available Pizza Hut menu items are: The Great Beyond™, Beyond Italian Sausage™ Alfredo Loaded Flatbread and Beyond Creamy Alfredo. Moreover, Beyond Sausage Crumbles can be added as a topping to any existing pizza offerings as well.
