NIO (NIO:NYQ) reported second-quarter earnings and announced a bigger than expected loss. The company stated revenue rose but costs started to increase lower their margins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company’s net loss increased to $337 million which shows about a 4 times increase from a year ago. Vehicle sales are up 3.5% from the first quarter of 2022 and up an 21% from second-quarter of 2021. As revenues grew 21.8% from a year ago so did the net loss which grew 369.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We delivered 25,059 vehicles in the second quarter of 2022, representing a growth of 14.4% year-over-year despite the COVID-19 related challenges.
