The announcement comes as the company aims to retain essential workers that it relies on to stock store shelves and warehouses throughout the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Raising Pay<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The retailer revealed that starting salaries for freight drivers will be increasing to anywhere from USD95,000 and USD110,000 a year, up from its previous starting salary of USD87,500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large\"><p>&#8220;Drivers who have been with Walmart longer can earn even more, based on factors like tenure and location.&#8221;<\/p><cite>the blog noted<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Walmart is seeking drivers to transport merchandise to stores, e-commerce warehouses and to meet continuous demand for the incoming online orders.
