After the company paused work on its Instagram for Kids initiative last month, critics remain skeptical of the new features effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Negative Effects<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Haugen\u2019s testimony revealed information showcasing that Facebook is potentially causing harm. The testimony pointed to negative effects on teenage mental health, misinformation, unchecked political gaslighting, and election manipulation. Nevertheless, Facebook had halted its Instagram Kids project before Haugen revealed her identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large\"><p>&#8220;We are constantly iterating in order to improve our products.
