Now, CP Rail can progress with the merger in a deal that could be worth <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/business\/cn-drops-bid-for-kansas-city-southern-cp-to-acquire-u-s-railway-in-us-31b-deal-1.5586178\">approximately <\/a>US$31 billion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Name Change<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The combined entity will be named Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No Interruptions to Service<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Calgary will be the global headquarters of CPKC, while Kansas City, MO., will be the U.S. headquarters with the Mexican headquarters to remain in Mexico City and Monterrey. CP Rail has also said customers will not experience a reduction in railroad choice as a result of the transaction and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/canadian-pacific-and-kansas-city-southern-execute-agreement-to-combine-creating-first-single-line-rail-network-linking-us-mexico-canada-301377665.html\">has <\/a>\u201ccommitted to keep all existing freight rail gateways open on commercially reasonable terms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large\"><p>\u201c20,000 miles of rail, employing close to 20,000 people, and generating total revenues of approximately $8.7 billion based on 2020 actual revenues.\u201d<\/p><cite>KCS President and Chief Executive Officer Patrick J.
