Lowe\u2019s Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) has reported it will donate USD 2 Million to support relief efforts after Hurricane Ida has impacted the Gulf Coast. Lowe\u2019s will donate USD 1 Million to disaster relief partners including the St. Bernard Project, American Red Cross and more to help organizations provide food, shelter, relief, rebuilding supplies and comfort to those affected by Hurricane Ida. The additional USD 1 Million will be used to support product donations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ellison, Lowe\u2019s Chairman and CEO<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n“Our stores are continuing to serve their communities when it’s needed most, and this\u00a0$2 million\u00a0donation to support our nonprofit partners and Pros will help recovery and rebuilding efforts for months to come. In addition, we are assisting our associates in the hurricane’s path by helping with evacuation expenses, deploying emergency response teams and doubling our company match through our Employee Relief Fund.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lowe\u2019s stores in highly affected areas will host events to distribute free cleaning supplies to help residents after the storm. Within the past two weeks, Lowe\u2019s stores have distributed over 2,000 disaster relief buckets nationwide to help communities recover from storms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lowe\u2019s provides additional assistance to associates affected by the hurricane. Lowe\u2019s offered associates with emergency needs of up to USD 500 to cover evacuation and preparation expenses.
