Walmart Set to Hire Over 5,000 Workers Globally in 2022

Walmart (NYSE: WMT) is set to hire over 5,000 workers globally throughout the fiscal year, Furthermore, it has plans to make Toronto, Ontario and Atlanta, Georgia into two new Walmart global tech hubs amid their growing tech presence. The retailer is prepared to make Toronto one of its larger hubs, providing hundreds of new jobs.

The Toronto hub allows Canadian tech talent to remain in the country and is in line with Walmart’s local commitment. In 2020, Walmart Canada reported a USD3.5 Billion investment to make the online and in-store experience easier, faster and more convenient for Canadian consumers. The retailer intends to implement the latest technology within the business from supply chain to associates.
