TikTok Partners with Shopify

TikTok has begun to make the move into e-commerce. In an announcement earlier today, the Company unveiled an expanded partnership with Shopify, and revealed its pilot testing programs of TikTok Shopping among a select group of Shopify merchants in the US, UK, and Canada in the coming weeks.
TikTok Integration into Shopify Dashboard
The social video platform first announced its plans to partner with Shopify last October. Now, the Company has revealed even more about its plans. For example, new tools will allow Shopify merchants to create, run and optimize their TikTok marketing campaigns directly from the Shopify dashboard. Additionally, Shopify merchants with a TikTok For Business account will now be able to add a new “Shopping” tab to their TikTok profiles and sync their product catalogs to create mini-storefronts on their profile.

The move comes as companies look for new ways to interact and engage with consumers, with Harley Finkelstein, President of Shopify, saying that “creators are paving the way for a new kind of entrepreneurship where content, community, and commerce are key.”
Available In U.S. and U.K.
So far, the pilot is currently underway with certain Shopify merchants in the U.S. and U.K., with a roll out to merchants in Canada planned in the weeks ahead.
