Intel (INTC) stock climbed 10% Thursday as President Trump posted on Truth Social that Apple has agreed to work with Intel.

This comes after earlier reports from Wall Street Journal that the two companies reached a preliminary agreement which Intel would manufacture chips for Apple. The company previously used Intel chips for their laptops and desktops, but transitioned to building their own chips for all their products.

Intel is also in discussions to build TPU’s for Google and Nvidia is also looking into them building chips for them as well. The company has been on a upward trend over the last year and has performed well in developing chips for third-party companies. With TSMC manufacturing chips for companies many of them have started to investigate alternative options which has driven discussions opening up with Intel.

Intel stock is up over 500% over the last year.
