Up Premarket

Shares of Empower Clinics Inc. (CSE: CBDT) gained over 9.6% in premarket trading following the announcement.

Granted Medical Drivers Licence

The latest MediSure™ Empower Blood Glucose Monitoring System (BGM) product, which was granted a Class 3 Medical Device Licence, augments its existing line by providing a system with Bluetooth capabilities. The device allows patients to connect their health information to their phone through a lighter and more compact medical device, and provides doctors and Canadians with more choices for managing their diabetes.

Additional Medical Drivers Licence

Additionally, the company has received a Class 2 Medical Device Licence for the Medisure™ Vitamin D Rapid Test, the first fully at-home Vitamin D Rapid Test kit in Canada. Allowing patients to find out whether they have Vitamin D deficiency without heading to the doctor’s office, the device aims to reduce the toll on the healthcare system.

“MediSure has made immense progress since joining Empower. Through the capacity and leadership of our team, they’ve been able to double down on their sales, increase their research and development, and, most importantly, expand their ability to provide affordable and quality health management solutions.”
