Feb 1, 2022 By MarketDepth
Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE: CCL) recently announced the extension of the Carnival Corporation common stock share sale.
Share Buyback and Corporate Expenses
Carnival Corporation filed a prospectus supplement with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, under which it may offer and sell shares of its common stock. Subsequently, the Company will use the net proceeds from the Offering to purchase an equivalent number of Carnival plc ordinary shares as well as to pay for general corporate purposes.
While the previously announced Share Purchase Program was expected to end no later than January 31, 2022, the decision has been made to extend the program until April 30, 2022, under the same terms. Additionally, all of the ordinary shares purchased under the Share Purchase Program will carry no voting rights for so long as they are held by Carnival Corporation or its subsidiaries and none of the shares will be cancelled or held as treasury shares.
